For the third day the guests can visit local places which have cultural as well as spiritual significance for the people of Sikkim. These local sightseeing includes various waterfalls, Temples and Monasteries namely:
⦁ Flower Exhibition Centre – it displays different types of flowers from different parts of Sikkim showcasing the richness of the Sikkim’s flora. Visitors who are nature lovers will enjoy this place especially during the spring season.
⦁ Bakthang Waterfalls – This Natural waterfall is near to Gangtok city, it takes almost 20 minutes to reach .
⦁ Ganesh Tok – This temple has been built for the religious purpose which also offers the visitors the view of snow-capped mountains.
⦁ Hanuman Tok –It is Managed by the Indian Army. This place has a religious and spiritual significance. This place also offers the view of the Kanchenjunga range.
⦁ Ropeway – The guests can also have an adventurous ride in the ropeway offering a beautiful view of Gangtok city.
⦁ Chorten Stupa – It is the most recognisable monastery in Gangtok. This place has a spiritual significance for the locals and for the monks.
⦁ Namgyal Institute of Tibetology – It is Located near Chorten Stupa, it is a Museum which has the ancient scripts and pictures of Tibetans which has a historical significance to the Tibetans.
⦁ Banjhakri Waterfalls – It displays the documents of traditional shamanic healers who worship spirits living in caves.
⦁ Handicraft Centre – Handicraft Centre in Gangtok offers traditional arts and artefacts having historical significance to the people of Sikkim.
⦁ Tashi View Point – from this point the guests can see the mesmerizing beauty of Mount Kanchenjunga and also enjoy the views of sunset and sunrise on a clear day .
