Today, we will be visiting all the major attraction of Darjeeling which includes:
⦁ Tiger Hill: Early morning around 4 am, we will visit Tiger Hill which is mainly famous for its stunning sunrise view. The clear view of Mt. Kanchendzonga can also be seen from here and if you are lucky enough then you can also witness the view of Mt. Everest.
⦁ Ghoom Monastery: An oldest monastery in Darjeeling, which is mainly famous for its 15 feet statue of Maitreya Buddha.
⦁ Batasia Loop: It is actually a spiral railway loop and in the middle of it stands a Gorkha war memorial. Here, one can also take some pictures with their loved one in the traditional attire.
⦁ Peace Pagoda: It is a Buddhist Stupa, a white monument to inspire peace.
⦁ Japanese Temple: Temple built in Japanese style. A place to seek inner peace.
⦁ Outer View of Tea Garden: It’s a valley filled with Tea Plantation.
⦁ Padma Naidu Zoological Park: Specially known for breeding programmed animals such as red pandas, snow leopard, Tibetan wolf and many other endangered species.
⦁ Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: It is a museum where you will get to see the artifacts, manuscript, books and equipment related to the people of Himalayas and mountaineering.
⦁ Tenzing & Gumpo Rock: It’s a rock climbing spot; basically named after famous rock climbers of the state, Tenzing Norgay and Nawang Gumbo.
⦁ Ropeway: This cable car ride will show the whole view of Darjeeling.
⦁ Tibetan Refugee Centre: An emergency relief Centre for the Tibetans.
