Trip to Gangtok & North Sikkim

Today, we take a scenic day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, a treasure situated in the Himalayas at an elevation of 12,310 feet. As you approach the lake, you will be taken aback by its beautiful blue waters framed by snow-capped hills. Soak in the magnificent views, take photos, and maybe even go on a yak ride or a paddleboat adventure on the lake. Stop at Baba Mandir on the way back to Gangtok, a temple dedicated to an Indian soldier who is claimed to defend the Indo-China border. The peaceful environment and breathtaking views from the temple make it an ideal spot to ponder and recharge.

Today, we start on a spiritual journey to Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim's highest lake at 17,800 feet. This sacred lake is treasured by both Buddhists and Hindus and is thought to have supernatural properties. When you arrive at the lake, you will be captivated by its crystal-clear waters reflecting the blue sky. Soak in the peace, say a prayer, and let the magnificent beauty of the Himalayas wash over you. For an extra fee, you may visit Chopta Valley and Thangu Valley on the way back to Lachung, where you can see bright meadows overflowing with wildflowers and glaciers sparkling in the sunlight.

It's time to say goodbye to Sikkim, but the memories you've made will last a lifetime. After breakfast, your driver will return you to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, where you will join your aircraft or train back home.
