Day 1
Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok Over night stay at Gangtok
Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok

On your arrival at either New Jalpaiguri Railway station or Bagdogra airport as per your convenience you will then be transferred to Gangtok. Located at a distance of nearly 121 km and almost takes 4-5 hours to reach by road.

One the way to Gangtok, we can also stopover at some of the sites like:

Sevoke Coronation Bridge: An ideal point to stop for a while to capture some alluring pictures along with the view of the valleys.

River Teesta: One can also spend some quality time looking at the gorgeous view of River Teesta. Adventure seekers can also enjoy river rafting in this river at their own expense.

Today, we will be exploring two main stunning spots located at the height of 13,000 ft approx.

Tsomgo Lake: It is one of the most eye-catching spots to explore which is located at a distance of nearly 42 km away from Gangtok. This lake is encircled with the stunning views of the mountains and valleys making it not less than a paradise . 

One can also enjoy these two activities in Tsomgo lake:

Yak ride  & Ropeway   

Baba Mandir:  Baba mandir holds a special significance in the Indian military as it is dedicated to our national hero Baba Harbajan Singh who is believed to be a living god. Here, one can also observe his own office and living room. Apart from its historical importance the place also offers a mind blowing scenic view. This wonderful site is located nearly 17 km ahead of Tsomgo lake.

Nathula (Optional): Nathula is an Indo-China border and to get to this location one needs to apply for the special permit prior one day.

Lachen

Today, we will head towards Lachen which is located in the Northern district of Sikkim.  It is located at a distance of nearly 125 km away from Gangtok and takes almost 5-6 hours to reach.

On the way to Lachen, we can visit and expect many wonderful things like:

Butterfly waterfalls: This beautiful waterfall is an eye catcher spot while going to Lachen. Please note if incase due to some natural calamities we have to take another route then instead of Butterfly waterfalls Seven Sister waterfalls will be covered.

Photography: The journey leading to Lachen is so picturesque that one cannot resist taking wonderful pictures.

Today, we will explore some mind-blowing spots in Lachen which includes:

Gurudongmar Lake: Located at an altitude of 17,800 ft, Gurudongmar Lake is one of the prime location in Lachen. Its crystal clear water which changes its form to frozen water during the winter season  is just amazing. This gorgeous holy lake is beautifully decorated with breathtaking mountains and valleys making it look even more alluring.

Kalapathar (Optional): One of the only locations in Lachen where we may witness snow almost throughout the year. This location is appealingly decorated with black rocks as the name itself says Kalapathar which means Black rock in Hindi.

After having a wonderful time in Lachen we will then head towards Lachung which will take around 2-3 hours to reach by road.

Today we will explore the major attraction in Lachung which includes:

Yumthang Valley: After 40-50 minutes of travel we will step foot in the most alluring location in Lachung, Yumthang valley. It is popularly known as the Valley of flowers as this valley remains wonderfully covered with varieties of natural flowers during spring season. During the winter season this place gives a different experience as it remains covered with snowy mountains.

Zero Point (Optional): Another breathtaking location in Lachung is Zero point which is also commonly recognised as Yumesamdong. It is the end point of Lachung where visitors are not allowed to go beyond this. Its mesmerizing scenic views, snow capped mountains, windy atmosphere is what makes this place an ideal location for nature lovers.

After a wonderful trip towards these locations we will head back to Gangtok which will take another 4-5 hours road journey.

Today we will explore some of the main local sightseeing places of Gangtok which includes:

Hanuman Tok: Hanuman tok is one of the most visited spots in Gangtok not only because of its religious importance but also because of its scenic location. It is one of the best locations for those who are seeking a peaceful environment.

Ganesh Tok: Ganesh Tok is a temple located on the hilltop of Gangtok from where one can observe the clear view of Gangtok city. Its calm environment is what makes a traveler want to visit.

Tashi Viewpoint: An ideal location in Gangtok to witness the most stunning view of Mt. Kanchendzonga on a clear day. 

Do Drul Chorten stupa: It’s a buddhist stupa which is beautifully surrounded by 108 prayer wheels. The ambience of this location gives a visitor a peaceful touch. 

Institute of Tibetology: Institute of Tibetology is a Tibet museum located on the way to Chorten Stupa. Inside the museum we can observe the huge collection of manuscripts, buddhist sculptures, and ancient books. One can also observe various paintings of Buddhist deities.

Gangtok Ropeway: Another fascinating thing to experience in Gangtok is Gangtok Ropeway. Along with the thrilling experience one can also witness the gorgeous view of Deorali city.

Bakthang waterfalls: One of the natural waterfalls in Gangtok which attracts visitors from all over India with its allu ring view. One can also try some adventure activities like zip lining. One can also click some wonderful pictures wearing the traditional attire of the Bhutia community.

Flower exhibition Centre: Here visitors can observe varieties of flowers blooming almost throughout the year.

Ban Jhakri Falls: Ban Jhakri Falls is one of the most visited sightseeing points in Gangtok. One can also try various adventure activities like rope slide, boating, bridge walk, and trampoline jumping.

Today, we will head towards Pelling which is situated in West Sikkim. It is almost a 5-6 hours road journey so to make it bearable we will visit two main attractions located in Namchi & Ravangla.

Chardham: It is one of the most famous religious sites in Sikkim. It is also popularly known as Siddheshwar Dham. Chardham means *Four Dham* in Hindi and it is also constructed in such a way that all Dhams namely Badrinath, Jagannath, Dwarka, and Rameshwaram are built in the same place.

Buddha Park: Beautifully nestled in the lap of nature. Buddha park is well known for its 130 ft statue of Lord Buddha and is also considered as one of the tallest statues of Buddha in india. It is an ideal spot for those who are seeking a peaceful environment to relax their mind and soul.

Today, we will be exploring all the main sightseeing places of Pelling where we will visit various types of spots including lakes, monasteries, villages, waterfalls, etc. Please find the brief description of all the sightseeing points below:

Rabdentse Ruins: Rabdentse ruins holds a great historical importance as it was once a capital of Sikkim. Now, it has become one of the most visited attractions in Pelling. This spot also offers a mesmerizing view of Mt. Kanchenjunga on a clear day.

Skywalk: The Skywalk is a glass-bottomed bridge and is one of the first glass skywalks in India. While walking on the glass one can have a thrilling experience. The place is also an ideal spot for photography as it offers a stunning view of valleys, mountains, as well as the mind blowing view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Khecheopalri Lake: It is a serene and sacred lake which is also popularly known as the wish fulfilling lake. Its peaceful environment is what makes a traveler visit this location again and again. 

Darap village: Darap Village is a beautiful and peaceful village located near Pelling; It is nestled in the lap of nature and is beautifully encircled with the beautiful view of the mountains and valleys. It is also considered as one of the most beautiful villages in Sikkim.

Rimbi waterfall: It is a great place to spend some quality time with your loved ones, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere.

Kanchenjunga Waterfalls: Kanchenjunga waterfalls are surrounded by greenery. It is the best place for taking pictures. You will feel yourself at a relaxing and refreshing natural spot.

Today, we will  be moving towards Darjeeling which is also known as the Queen of Hills. There is nothing much to see on the way so one can reach Darjeeling enjoying its scenic view only

⦁ Toy Train Ride: One can also spend their time enjoying a 2 hours joy ride where one can observe the beauty of Darjeeling city.

⦁ Visit Mall road: If you are in Darjeeling then visiting Mall road and chowrasta is a must. It is a main hub in Darjeeling to try some local food, enjoy the culture, and to know the people.

⦁ Shopping: One can also purchase some local products as a souvenir for their loved one.

Today, we will explore all the major local sightseeing of Darjeeling which includes:

Tiger Hill: Early morning around 4 am, we will visit Tiger Hill which is mainly famous for its stunning sunrise view. The clear view of Mt. Kanchendzonga can also be seen from here and if you are lucky enough then you can also witness the view of Mt. Everest.

Ghoom Monastery: An oldest monastery in Darjeeling, which is mainly famous for its 15 feet statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Batasia Loop: It is actually a spiral railway loop and in the middle of it stands a Gorkha war memorial. Here, one can also take some pictures with their loved one in the traditional attire.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: It is an institution in Darjeeling which is dedicated to the sports of mountaineering. Here one can also observe a museum where photographs, factual information of Tenzing Norgay are kept. One can also try rock climbing in this area.

Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park: Best yet unique spot to explore in Darjeeling is the zoo where you can spot varieties of animals like Red panda, Himalayan black bears, snow leopard, tiger, goral etc. One can also observe different species of birds over here.

Tea garden: One of the prime spots to visit in Darjeeling is the Tea garden where you can take some beautiful pictures enjoying its wonderful scenic view.  

Tibetan Refugee Center: A famous cultural and historical site in Darjeeling that actually showcases the lifestyle of the Tibetan Refugee in India. Here one can also observe many handmade craft works like carpets, leather work, and woolen items. One can also buy these products as a souvenir. 

Tenzing Gompo Rock: It is a small rock climbing training spot in Darjeeling. This rock was named after Tenzing Norgay who was the first person to reach Mt. Everest along with Edmund Hillary.

Japanese Temple: A famous buddhist temple in Darjeeling which is located in the lap of nature. This temple is called Japanese temple as it is built in a Japanese style.

Peace Pagoda: Peace Pagoda which is located very close to a Japanese temple. The peaceful surroundings of the locations is what makes it worth visiting.

    I m little late but whenever I checkout the pictures of our Sikkim trip I always remember the beautiful hospitality of we care holidays even in our schedule there was a landslide happened in North Sikkim but still they managed everything so well....Hotels and everything was perfect

    Had a great trip to Nepal with We care. Through the entire trip starting from pick up from airport till drop, they ensured all the necessities. Hotel Aryatara was too good the food, the staff at hotel were so welcoming. I plan to do more trips with the agency.     They are helpful, well planned, good drivers, are available to talk to during the trip. The only drawback, they try to talk to you and ask if you can manage the last cab to airport yourselves. Even though they say its 500 or cheap. Its not true, it costs about 1000 to 2000 to get a ride to Bagdogra airport from a hotel. Also it difficult as they cancel the ride last minute. So I would suggest if you go we care holidays ensure they drop you back to airport
