About Dentam Valley View
The Dentam Valley stretches 800 m below the Rinchenpong ridge, farmland and forest extending toward the Nepal border, crossed by the Ramam river. From the viewpoints on the road between Rinchenpong and Dentam — particularly at the Singell bend — you can see the full valley floor below, with the forested Singalila ridge closing the western horizon. The view is particularly striking at dusk when low cloud fills the valley while the ridge road stays clear. The 22 km drive from Rinchenpong to Dentam is one of the better ridge-road drives in West Sikkim and the Singell stop is the natural highlight.
